Nireas Triathlon welcomes you to Mouflon CyMan Extreme Triathlon
We have been organising triathlon events for years and this allowed us to understand many things about the triathlon world. When we see the potential in an exciting project, we work to ensure that you will also get the same emotions, if not bigger, when taking part.
Mouflon CyMan Extreme Triathlon is a half distance extreme triathlon, a great sport performance, but above all, it will be for all of you a special occasion to get emotional and feel part of a unique experience.
We didn’t choose the location by chance. The Start, the Finish and the entire course is the perfect combination for great sport performance and a surprising experience. Here you will find epic climbs and the magic of amazing scenery. Once you cross the finish line, you will be amazed by the hospitality of Platres community, and you will get emotional with the deep feeling of being part of this magic.
It will not be an easy race considering its technical difficulties, and you will need to prepare for it with care and dedication, without underestimating any aspects.
If you are brave enough to take part in the race, you will live unique and unforgettable emotions. During the race you may find yourself amazed at your resilience and your capacity to overcome huge difficulties.

At the time of collecting the above, each participant will present their ID card or passport to confirm your identity.
Cancellation policy
We understand occasionally it may be necessary for you to withdraw or transfer your entry. To be as fare as possible our transfer and withdrawal policy is strictly as below, and no exceptions are made for illness or injury.

Race description
Swim
The 1.9Km swim will lead you to dive into the clear waters of Limassol coast, that in the early days of December records temperatures between 17° and 21°.
Cycle
During the 82Km of the bike leg, you will conquer mount Troodos with 1402-meter height.
Total accent 2951m
Run
The 21Km running course will take you to run in the beautiful landscape around Platres and Foini village.

Cut-off Times
Cut-off times are imposed to protect the athletes.
Swim: Athletes will have 1hr 15 minutes to complete the swim. Athletes who take longer than 1hr 15 minutes to complete the swim will not be eligible to continue with the race and will be considered as DNF.
Cycle: 8 hours after the start. Athletes who take longer than 8 hours to complete the swim and bike will not be eligible to continue the raceand will be considered as DNF. In such case they must inform the organisers.
Run: 10 hours after the start. Athletes who take longer than 10 hours to complete the swim, bike and run can continue to race but will not have any support and will do so under their own responsibility. They will not be eligible for age group awards.
In case of athletes not meeting the cut-off times and dacite to continue the race, the organisers will not bare any responsibility for their safety.
In case of withdrawal, the support volunteers must promptly notify the organization at the phone number that will be provided during the briefing.

Medical Support
During the race, first aid personnel will be available in the entire course.
Every competitor is strongly advised to have a personal health insurance to cover any medical expenses in case of accident or illness during the race.
Equipment
Positioning of Numbers and Chip
The chip is essential for the timing. Wear it on the ankle as shown. In case of a wetsuit the chip must be on top of it.
Instructions for use
The bike sticker shall be attached so it is visible from both sides of the bicycle.
Fix the bib number on a race belt. Turn on the back for the bike section. Turn in front for the run section. No race belt is provided by the organisers. You must bring your own.
Athlete Support Volunteers
Athletes are allowed to have their own volunteer team. Support volunteer teams should consist of at least one person, who must be able to communicate with the organization.
They will have to be able to reach their athlete during the bike course, but they cannot obstruct normal traffic. Athletes are not allowed to draft behind the support car (min distance 35m).
Any assistance provided to the athlete must be done when the car is parked outside the road and with the four flashing lights on. The support team is not allowed to give assistance when the car is in motion (this means disqualification of the athlete)
Athletes are not allowed to sit in the support car, even if the car is stoped (this means disqualification of the athlete)
